We’re a distributed, high-velocity team shipping production-grade infrastructure used by institutions and AVS builders worldwide. We’re now expanding our QA function with a Manual QA Tester (India) to own end-to-end quality for our web dashboards, operator consoles, and staking interfaces.
Role Overview
As Manual QA Tester, you’ll own manual verification of acceptance criteria and user stories across eigenX’s web products. You’ll write test cases, execute regression suites, and catch edge cases in incrementally shipped features—ensuring institutional-grade reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Create test cases, build test plans, and execute manual acceptance tests for web applications.
- Document defects, reproduction steps, test plans, and QA effort with clarity and precision.
- Own quality and execution of testing for eigenX’s web dashboards, staking UIs, and operator portals.
- Collaborate directly with developers and product managers to craft comprehensive test plans.
- Develop and maintain a robust coverage matrix across supported browsers, OS, and device classes.
- Build functional and regression test suites for web features and AVS integrations.
- Communicate new issues clearly and shepherd them to resolution and closure.
- Participate in design and spec reviews; provide detailed feedback on exception paths and use cases to inform test design.
- Write/maintain test suites for new features, product releases, and incremental updates.
- Contribute to discussions on testable code and ensure sprint success while prioritizing QA.
- Attend stand-ups, sprint planning, retros, and design sessions with cross-functional teams.
- Inspire the community through blog posts, screen-casts, open-source contributions, and sharing QA best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on manual testing experience on web platforms.
- Comfortable testing on physical devices or cloud platforms (e.g., BrowserStack, Sauce Labs).
- Proven ability to operate as the sole QA on large, complex projects.
- Hands-on experience with test case management tools (TestRail, qTest, or similar).
- Proficient with issue trackers (Jira, Linear, or GitHub Issues).
- Comfortable with Git for version control and test artifact management.
- Experience testing REST/GraphQL APIs using Postman, Insomnia, or similar.
- Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Zeplin, or InVision) to validate UI/UX specs.
- Experience working closely with internal engineering and external AVS teams.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to blockchain UIs, staking flows, or restaking dashboards.
- Basic scripting (JavaScript/Python) for test automation augmentation.
- Experience with performance or security testing in web3 contexts.
- Contributions to open-source QA tools or blockchain projects.
